Terms of Use

Effective and last updated: August 31, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Use apply to Speedle, operated under the name Peanut Games. By accessing or using Speedle, or by selecting Continue on Speedle’s legal notice, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Speedle.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a logged-in Speedle account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Speedle only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. The game can be played without an account.

The game

Speedle is a daily word game with three rounds and one submitted guess per round. Several words may satisfy a round. Word lists, validation services, puzzle generation, scoring rules, availability, and leaderboard behavior may change as the game is corrected or improved.

Speedle is offered for entertainment. It does not promise prizes, money, or anything of monetary value. Daily availability, saved progress, results, streaks, statistics, and leaderboard placement are not guaranteed.

Accounts and leaderboard names

We may rename, hide, or remove leaderboard entries and restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect players, or operate the service.

Fair play and acceptable use

Do not:

Ownership

Speedle’s original code, artwork, logos, writing, game presentation, and other original materials are owned by the operator of Peanut Games or used with permission. These terms let you use Speedle for personal, noncommercial gameplay. They do not transfer ownership or allow you to copy, sell, repackage, or present Speedle as your own.

Third-party names, services, libraries, and content remain the property of their respective owners. Speedle is an independent game and is not sponsored by or affiliated with Wordle or The New York Times.

Third-party services

Speedle depends on services provided by Google Firebase, Cloudflare, and Google login. Their terms and privacy practices also apply to the parts of Speedle they provide. We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, security incidents, or decisions outside our reasonable control.

Changes, suspension, and ending access

We may update, correct, suspend, or discontinue any part of Speedle. We may restrict access or remove data when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, fair play, or enforcement of these terms. You may stop using Speedle at any time and may request deletion of account information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speedle is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not make warranties that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that every real word will be accepted or every invalid word rejected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peanut Games and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost leaderboard placement, or interrupted access arising from Speedle. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use Speedle during the previous 12 months or US $10. Speedle is currently free.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

Resolving concerns

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. These terms are governed by applicable law. Any mandatory consumer rights available where you live remain unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Speedle changes. The effective date at the top will be updated. Speedle may show the legal notice again when a material update requires renewed agreement. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.
